Sat, 02 Dec 2000  Did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

Since there are no writings in the Giza pyramid, can we assume that this was built by another civilisation, and that the others at that site are LATER copies of this earlier pyramid.
If so, who built it and when?

I think it is probable that the pyramids at Giza were built by the Egyptians, however, they may have found a cache of knowledge from Atlantis.  The site is very old - the constructions upon the site may only be the latest structures.
